All of these moves make Krieg far more suited to a full-on attack strategy. Krieg's new main abilities are “Release the Beast,” a move that turns you into a Badass Psycho Mutant when your health falls below 33 per cent “Bloodsplosion,” which causes any enemy you kill to explode and damage everyone nearby and “Raving Retribution,” which sends homing fireballs at enemies as long as you're on fire. Other characters focus on ranged damage but Krieg is best used face to axe. Krieg's powers are all designed to get the player as close to the action as possible and turn damage into health regeneration and more death. This may seem like a disadvantage but considering Krieg's “last stand” mode can be upgraded into a frenzy of suicidal TNT throwing, it can change the tide of a battle at the last second. With the relevant skill upgraded, Krieg will regenerate all his health upon killing an enemy in this mode, though another skill gives him a chance to hit himself in the face instead. He has a buzz saw/axe which he uses to kill enemies. While the Gunzerker is designed to have players deal heavy damage from afar and the Siren is best used for crowd control, Krieg's strategy is far less subtle.

The newest addition to the roster of maniacs in Borderlands 2 is Krieg the Psycho. It's immensely rare for games to be supported with such imaginative and interesting DLC for so long. But the massive success meant more was inevitably on the way and now we sit on the tail end of the first round of content with new characters, storylines and areas to explore along the way. The first game was given four downloadable extras and so far the sequel has had three story expansions as part of the season pass.
